A New Life!
This November Eric and I will celebrate 20 years!!! Funny how quickly that goes by!! :) Eric was saved a little over 20 years ago and well as the saying goes....he got a good dose! When we get saved we all get all of Jesus but for some it seems like they come out of the shoot full force and that has always been Eric. He loves the Lord so much and loves sharing his faith. I am so glad that he gets to do this full time! The first time he shared his testimony publicly was about 6 months after his salvation. Our Pastor and friend Johnny Hunt asked him to share on a Sunday night. He had written the entire testimony out...word for word.....he started crying before the first word and cries all the way through it! He still gets emotional when he talks about how Jesus saved him! Hope he never looses that!
The clip below is a little piece from an incredible night a few months ago at our church again. I wanted to share it with you. I was moved the first time and I am still moved and really proud!

Fun in the Dark
We have several great parks near our house but by far my children's favorite is one at a local church. It is one of the few that allows you to play after dark. They all love it. They all take play guns, flashlights and play a ramped up version of hide and seek. You know these are the things that they will remember! If parents could get a hold of the fact that kids want your time more than anything our families would be so much better off!
What FUN!!!
We had a blast with our friends! There are not many families (actually I do not know of any other family) that I could spend 12 days with and wish they could stay longer! Our approach to child rearing is very similar. Their kids are very polite and helpful...full of laughter and a heart to serve. I laughed till I hurt on more than one occasion.
We did go about half way through the "Do hard things" book. That was so good...it brought up so much conversation with the kids. It challenged me and I know it challenged the kids as well.
One day we joined my sisters at my moms house for a tea party...it was such a fun time. We will make that a tradition. Now we are trying to figure out how Eric and I can speak in churches down through FL so we can plan a visit soon.
It all reminds me of the importance of having good friends who you can laugh and cry with but also friends who have the freedom to speak truth into your lives. We love the Zaldivar's!!!!
